Psychotherapist
B.H.Ecol. | MA Counselling Psychology

Welcome! My name is Nathalie Fox, and I am a French Métis woman, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.), and a psychotherapist. I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology (2024).

I want to acknowledge the courage and strength it takes to seek help. It's a true honor to be entrusted with your story.

Therapy with me is about creating a safe space to share, embracing vulnerability, rediscovering your inner self, and gently opening up to new possibilities.

    • Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation from the CCPA.

    • Master's in Counselling Psychology (2024).

    • A decade of experience with Child and Family Services.

    • Specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health.

    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained.

  • In our work together, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including:

    • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

    • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

    • Humanistic Therapy

    • Person-Centred Therapy

    • Play Therapy

My eclectic style allows me to tailor therapy to each individual, recognizing that every person is unique, and their therapy should be too.

  • When I’m not working as a therapist, I love spending time with my husband and two amazing children, who I consider my greatest teachers. Our days often unfold outdoors, filled with exploration, creativity, and play.

I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, running, hiking, snowboarding, travelling with my family, a hot cup of coffee and the satisfaction of a clean home.

Living in the prairies fills me with a deep sense of joy, calmness, and comfort.

I find grounding in simple moments, like walking along dirt roads, immersed in nature's quiet beauty. These moments remind me to appreciate life’s small joys amidst its busyness, knowing that life is unpredictable, challenging, and undeniably beautiful.

HISTORY

Prairie Fox Therapy—established January 2025

For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt called to help others navigate their struggles and find their path to healing. From the moment I embarked on my career in counselling, I knew that I wanted to create a space that was not only professional but warm, inclusive, and deeply supportive. A place where people could feel safe, seen, and understood, and where they could begin their journey of transformation.

The vision for Prairie Fox Therapy started to crystallize as I worked alongside individuals and families facing trauma, anxiety, and life’s most challenging transitions. I saw firsthand how desperately people needed a space to simply be, where they could drop their defences and truly connect with their emotions. I recognized that many were longing for a practice that felt more like home. A place where healing wasn’t just a process, but an experience of being heard, valued, and supported every step of the way.

With that realization, the idea of Prairie Fox Therapy was born. What started as a quiet desire to make a difference slowly grew into a vision I could no longer ignore. The countless hours of reflection, planning, and learning ultimately culminated in one pivotal moment: opening the doors to my own practice.

Since that day, each milestone has been a profound reminder of why I started this journey. It’s in the quiet moments of reflection with my clients, in the stories of healing and growth that unfold in our sessions, and in the trust they place in me that I’m reminded of the transformative power of therapy.

Every session, every connection, every breakthrough is an opportunity to make a real difference. It’s an opportunity to help people move from struggle to strength and to create meaningful, lasting change.

Prairie Fox Therapy is a reflection of my belief that healing is possible, growth is attainable, and the strength to overcome life’s challenges is always within reach.
